Director of HSA Healthcare, Mr S A Mehdi, M.B.B.S, FRCSEd, FRCSEd (Tr&Orth), MPhil, has been Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Borders General Hospital in Melrose and Spire Edinburgh Hospitals since 2007.
He provides a broad range of treatment for both simple and complex trauma and orthopaedic problems in addition to expert medicolegal advice.
Mr Mehdi trained in Trauma and Orthopaedics on the West of Scotland Orthopaedic Higher Surgical Training Programme. He was awarded the British Orthopaedic Association European Travelling Fellowship to Germany and Switzerland in 2009 followed by the travelling fellowship of the British Foot and Ankle Society to New York in 2010. He serves as a member of course faculty and steering groups at national level.
